Well looked after park, nice little coffee shop next gated children's park

Lovely place with a great view. Good place to take a jog or have a cup of coffee.

I like this park. It's mostly lawn with some flower beds to the South and the West side especially. There is a swing park, ball court and caf to the North-West and a few plaques given history like it's namesake and honorifics scattered about. It's popular with dog walkers. I don't think one could play a proper game of football that well, being on a slant. The park is accessible by road at the West !and North, by steps at the East and South-East, so approach from the West or North if you need a wheelchair accessible entry. The paths are well done, forming a ring around the park and a cross shape through the middle that has another path leading diagonal. The false centre (crossroad bit) has a pathway round a central tree, and a double-sided sheltered bench thing. Various benchs are placed besides the pathways. I've never been to the caf but plymouth.gov.uk notes their toilets are wheelchair accessible.Occassionally events run here, like as a viewing space to watch the British Firework Championships, where various stalls popped up. I also have noticed something military-like, from the plymouth.gov.uk site it this was likely a reactment of the battle that is it's namesake.

Great views across the Sound, very popular with dog walkers. Its a pity us dog walkers couldn't benefit from the loverly cafe. I am sure Plymouth City Council could make the play park dog free but also make access to cafe available.

Lovely views of Plymouth sound. Cafe and toilets. Clean and tidy park, lots of benches for resting and clean paths for walking your dog on the lead and lots of open spaces for a run around. Mixture of plants and trees.
