Booked a compact van and realised it wasn't big enough, no problem just upgraded to a transit. Everything was very professional, photos taken and damage checked before I left. Very pleasant member of staff.
booked a van and went through entire process only to discover on the day of collection that they expect a 750.00 deposit against your bank account which takes days to return. Why? I paid for full collision damage waiver. There is nothing to deposit against. It is because these deposits are held in a high interest account to make MORE CASH at your expense. - these hire companies to to wake up and realise that services like shiply and man and a van are now far more cost effective and nicer to deal with. Poor show.
WATCH OUT FOR THE OLD LADY! This place has gone downhill completely. I do understand you cannot get staff these days but this is a major problem. Customer service is non existent and the foul language used by these staff towards customers is unacceptable. Nobody seems to know what they are doing. It is a real shame once upon a time this place was the best hiring company. The hierarchy of this company should investigate and should do some sacking. If you don't believe me whats going on please visit the place and experience it first hand.
Im not sure why the previous reviews are so bad, I had a good experience with Thrifty Plymouth. Both the people who served me in collection and drop off were brilliant. Great service, great car and good value for money. Highly recommend
