Very helpful staff
Staff are for the most part unhelpful and bone idle, never ask you if you need a carrier bag upon purchase so make sure you've got your 10p s ready and be prepared to pack your bags yourself, disabled or not.
I bought an alarm clock as you do, took it home plugged it in and WOW it was so bright there was no way you could sleep with that on. I returned the clock to store 3 days later it perfect condition as purchased with the receipt I had emailed to me. The first person said she would have to check with there supervisor, who then said that they would have to check with there next in command. Sorry sir you can not use the returns and refunds policy clearly printed on the receipt that states that you can return it to us in 30 days for a full refund even if there is nothing wrong with it.So I called Argos customer service and they said it is down to the stores discretion and they do not have to stick to there legal statement that is printed on the receipt. So some what confused by this I have reported them to trading standards
Having generally received excellent customer service at this branch, I was disappointed tonight after my brother and I went to collect a toy car for his two-year-old daughter. Despite him ordering the item via FastTrack, there was a 15-minute wait to be served. This alone would not have been worth a poor review, but the two men who then brought out the item for my brother decided it would be appropriate to start laughing at him, asking immature questions such as, Is this car for you?, etc. I found this utterly ridiculous, especially considering I used to work in exactly the same role for Argos and know how high their customer service standards are. Very disappointing and really not what I would expect.
I ordered a bike online from Argos recommended for 9 year old girls. However the bike is so big, it is more suitable for an adult of my height of 5ft 7. It will be years before my daughter is ever in a position to ride this bike. She cannot even touch the floor with the seat at the lowest position. Argos are refusing to provide me with a refund for the brand new bike which has never been ridden.Argos are ignoring my rights as a consumer when placing online orders for goods. I am aware of my rights that when you place the order on-line it is covered by the new regulations Consumer Rights Act 2015 and therefore I have a right to cancel the order within 14 days.I certainly would NOT recommend going to Argos for a bike. They provide misleading adverts for bikes then are rude to their customers by accusing them of not doing the necessary research before purchasing the bike.My research was thorough and I made my decision based upon my daughters current bike, her age and the misleading description on the Argos website.I have notified Argos of my right and intention to cancel.
