My girlfriend organised a night away for new years celebration and it was lovely to stay here. Service was good from the staff very helpful with the room, nice layout and clean. Right in the city centre and not noisy.

Booked a Stay over Christmas 3 months ago and been emailed today (a month before Christmas) to say that its been cancelled. I called to find out how this could be possible with such short notice and was told that it was because "They couldn't expect their staff to work over Christmas" No compensation offered and when I said that this was ruining my whole Christmas and my partners son would not be able to see his father over Christmas as we live 8 hours away and there was nothing else we could afford...Her response was "Well its not very nice to expect my staff to work over Christmas" Unbelievable!! Why this has only just been decided a month before Christmas just go's to show the unprofessional , disorganized and completely careless nature of this Hotel. I am pregnant and my partner is in the Army and un-contactable in Africa till Christmas so the stress of this situation is completely unnecessary as we arranged this months ago to avoid this stress!!! There is nothing else in our price range this close to Christmas. Certainly nothing with an Oven! Completely Devastated but she clearly couldn't give a shiny $*%t. Not even an offer to pay the extra we would have to fork out as this had clearly upset me and will most probably ruin our Christmas. May I advise the Manager of Fox Studios that next year she block out all of Christmas rather than waiting till a month before to see if there are enough bookings to validate making her staff come in over Christmas. Clearly a Money over Morals company. Disgusting behavior.
I really enjoyed staying at Fox Studios. It is modern, clean, friendly and very well situated. There is everything needed to cook a meal the bed was very comfortable and the shower was roomy and powerful. It is a budget option but a very good and pleasant one. Highly recommended.
We had an amazing stay and the staff were lovely, very helpful when needed we will definitely stay again. The room was clean and comfortable very modern with access to free WiFi and a very nice kitchen and bathroom, there is great access to the town and we were able to travel by train very easily we also found it was great for dinning out as a wide choice around the area. I have already discussed with staff my return and I can't wait to come back. Well done Fox Studios 5 Stairs to you all and very well deserved.Claire x
